Associate Judges
The Commission is reviewing the qualifications of the following Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for reappointment to a fifteen (15) year term:
- Hon. Maribeth Raffinan has declared her candidacy for reappointment as an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, upon expiration of her current term on September 30, 2025.
Senior Judges
The Commission is reviewing the qualifications of the following judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals for reappointment as a Senior Judge:
- Hon. Eric T. Washington has requested a recommendation for reappointment as a Senior Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, upon expiration of his current term on March 19, 2025.
Public Comment Period
The Commission invites members of the Bar, litigants, former jurors, interested organizations and members of the public to submit comments or any other information bearing on the performance and qualifications of each of the above-referenced judges to continue her or his respective judicial service.
Comment deadlines are as follows
- Hon. Maribeth Raffinan – April 10, 2025
- Hon. Eric T. Washington – March 6, 2025
If the comments or information pertain to a specific case, the Commission requests the case be identified by the case caption and include the identification of any relevant hearing dates or pleadings.
