The jurisdiction of the District of Columbia Commission on Judicial Disabilities (CJDT) extends to all active and senior judges of the District of Columbia Courts, and embraces four areas:
- A judge's conduct warranting disciplinary action. See Filing A Complaint.
- Involuntary retirement of a judge for reasons of health.
- Evaluation of a judge who seeks reappointment upon the expiration of his or her term.
- Evaluation of a judge who retires and wishes to continue judicial service as a senior judge.
