The Commission is pleased to open the public comment period for its evaluation of Chief Judge Milton C. Lee, Jr. and Judge Todd E. Edelman, Associate Judges of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia who are each declared candidates for reappointment to additional fifteen (15) year terms as Associate Judges upon the expiration of their respective current terms on June 23, 2025.
The Commission invites members of the Bar, litigants, former jurors, interested organizations, and members of the public to submit comments or any other information bearing on the performance and qualifications of Chief Judge Lee and Judge Edelman to continue their judicial service.
The cooperation of the community at an early stage will greatly aid the Commission in fulfilling its responsibilities. The identity of any person submitting materials will be kept confidential unless expressly authorized by the person submitting the information.
If the comments or information pertain to a specific case, the Commission requests the case be identified by the case caption and includes the identification of any relevant hearing dates or pleadings.
