This thirty-first annual report of the District of Columbia Commission on Judicial disabilities and Tenure covers activities during the fiscal year ended September 30, 2006. It also discusses the statutory authority and procedures of the Commission and summarizes noteworthy developments during fiscal year 2006.

During this fiscal year the DC Bar appointed Claudia A Withers, Esq. to succeed Mary E. Baluss, Esq., whose term expired January 1, 2006. The Commission thanks Ms. Baluss for her six years of service, and welcomes Ms. Withers who has proven a worthy successor. There were no other changes to the Commission's membership.
