The Commission honored Senior Judge John M. Ferren on his retirement and expressed its deep appreciation for his service for over four decades to the citizens of the District of Columbia as an Associate Judge and Senior Judge on the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. In a letter on behalf of the Commission, Chairperson Colleen Kollar-Kotelly and Vice Chairperson Diane Brenneman noted Judge Ferren’s many contributions to the bench, the Bar, and the community. In closing, they wrote: “Clearly you are and have been an outstanding public servant worthy of the extraordinary praise you have received throughout your career. On behalf of the entire Commission, we humbly send our deepest gratitude and appreciation for your contributions to our community….”
