This is to notify members of the Bar and the public that the District of Columbia Commission on Judicial Disabilities and Tenure is reviewing the qualifications of the following judges of the DC Courts:

• Hon. Maribeth Raffinan has declared her candidacy for reappointment as an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, upon expiration of her current term on September 30, 2025.
   
• Hon. Eric T. Washington has requested a recommendation for reappointment as a Senior Judge of the District of Columbia Court of Appeals, upon expiration of his current term on March 19, 2025.

The Commission invites members of the Bar, litigants, former jurors, interested organizations and members of the public to submit comments or any other information bearing on the performance and qualifications of Judge Raffinan and Judge Washington to continue their respective judicial service.

The cooperation of the community at an early stage will greatly aid the Commission in fulfilling its responsibilities. The identity of any person submitting materials will be kept confidential unless expressly authorized by the person submitting the information.

Comments for Hon. Maribeth Raffinan are due by April 10, 2025.

Comments for Hon. Eric T. Washington are due by March 6, 2025.

If the comments or information pertain to a specific case, the Commission requests the case be identified by the case caption and include the identification of any relevant hearing dates or pleadings.
